Mark Brooks, born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, moved to Texas with his family
when he was two years old. He showed an interest in Spanish at a young age,
and now uses it in his work for the State of Texas. Due to his exposure to
Spanish as a child, his accent resembles native speech; therefore, he makes
voice recordings for his state agency’s bilingual telephone system.
His interest
in language expanded, and he studied linguistics in college. He has a BA in
linguistics from the University of Texas – Austin.
Mark lives in Round
Rock, Texas, USA, with his wife and two dogs.
