Oṃdu hakki

Omme oṃdu hakki, gyārēbenalli tanna gūḍu kaṭṭikoṃḍu, tanna saṃsārada jate vāsamāḍuttittu. Oṃdu dina, ādu tanna heṃḍatiyoṃdige tanna makkaḷige āhāra taralu hāritu.

Svalla savuyada naṃtara, hiṃtirugi tanna vurigaḷannu nōḍi hēlitu: “Illi ēnāyitu? Nīvellā hedariddirēke? Ēnāyitu?”

Vurigaḷu ūttarisitu: “Nijavāda doḍḍa rākṣasa illige baṃdidda. Āvanu tanna birugaṇṇeniṃda navdu gūḍannu nōḍida. Ādakke navuge hedarikeyūmitu”.

Taṃde pakṣi hēḷitu: “Āvanu yāva kaḍe hōda āṃta gottā?”

Vurigaḷu uttarisidavu: “Haudu, ālli hōda” kāḍina kaḍege tōrisidaru.

Taṃde pakṣi hēḷatu: “Nīvenū yōchane māḍabēḍi! Nānu ā rākṣasanannu hiṃbālisi, buddi kasuttēne” eṃdu hēḷi gūḍiniṃda hāri kāḍina kaḍege hāritu.

Svalpa savuyada naṃtara, tiruvinalli, oṃdu beṭṭagāḍina siṃha hōguttiruvudannu nōḍitu adu siṃhakke hedarade, adara bennina mēle iḷidu, kūgāḍalu āraṃbhasitu.

“Navmu gūḍina kaḍe baṃdu, nanna vurigaḷannu hedarisalu nīnu yāru? Vaṃdu kogāḍitu. Ādare siṃha ādannu lekkakke tegedukoḷḷalilla. Āddariṃda adakke inaṣṭu kōpa baṃdu, siṃhavannu dūḍalu āraṃdhisitu.”

“Huṣār, o rākṣasa! Ninage nanna śaurrya tōrisalu nanage iṣṭavilla. Ādare punaḥ nanna gūḍina kaḍe baṃdare, nānu baṃdu ninna bennanna ī kāliniṃda vuriyuttēne!” Vaṃdu tanna kālannu vōlakketti hēḷitu.

Anaṃtara tanna gūḍige haṃtirugi, tanna vurigaḷage hēḷatu: “Īga nīvu hedaruva kāraṇavilla. Ā rākṣasanige avanu vureyallāgadaṃte budli kalisi baṃditdēne. Avanu punaḥ illige baruvudilla”.
