Þata kuni þizo wraíndjo galagida ganista sein in þe wagunbanstse. Dagins afflaugun fadreín faúr sokjan waíhts þo fráitan jah bileíþun barno aínakls anaháimeís.

Afar leítil qam fuglsfadar aftar jah sehwuþ barnilo seina wopidun.

“Barn, barn” frahuh is, “du-hwe habáiþ aggwiþa?”

“Atta! Atta!” qeþun wraíndilo, “Weis sehwum mikils alja-kuns dius in augodauramma jah weis faúhrtadidem uns mikil! Jah áugona seina is hwelauþs wesun! Weis agids naíhe du dáuþem.”

“Anahweíl izwis! Ni faúrteíþ izwis nie! Wituþ jus hwadre is iddja?” frahuh fadar.

“Jái, atta! Is iddja jáindre so gatwo dalaþ!” qeþun barn.

“Beídiþ her! Ik waírþa imma afargaggan,” qaþ fugls-atta, jah afflaúgah.

Afar leítil anaqam so wraínda wildu-katta farandan, jah disdriusah ana balsaggja seinamma.

“Áiwisks!” qaþ wraínda jah dugann þo balþjan jah þo usháitan sa wildu-katta. “þu ni magiþ qiman þu razna meinamma jah barnilona meina agjan!”

Ak sa wildu-katta ni gaf andawaúrdi ak iddja nikarans framis.

“Dwala-dius!” rodidaú so wráinda framis, “þu ni hafta raíhtiþa þo inagjan barno meina! Afhaban þuk aiþþaú ik þuk afslaha. Ik mag balsaggjan þeina brikan miþ fotum meinis!”

Jah wraínda flaúgah aftar þu háimeís.

“Saí!” qaþ atta-wraínda, “ik láisida imma láiseins. Is ni qim aftar aiw nie!”
