An Maya

San una, may salag an maya sa sayu’ na saday na garahe. San an mga magurang na maya naglupad na para makahanap sin makakaon, an kanira mga aki’ nabilin na wara’ sin kaibahan.

Diri’ nag-awat, an tatay na maya nag-abot.

“Nano an nangyari dini? Sin-o an nanakit saiyo? Nano kay nahahadok kamo?”

“O, Ama’ na maya, may nag-abot na momo’ kanina lang. Nakakahadok nansin maisog ang itsura niya. Inimod niya sin nanlilisik na kaniya mga mata an ato’ salag. Kaya’ nahadok kami.”

“Aw, mao?”, sabi san tatay na maya, “Diin siya nagkadto?”

“Didto banda siya nagkadto.”

“Maghulat kamo dini!”, sabi san tatay na maya, “Sundan ko siya. Bay-i na kamo pagdumdom, mga bata’. Ako na an bahala’ sa kaniya.” Diri’ nag-awat naglupad siya para sundan an momo’.

Pagliko’ niya sa may kanto, may liyon na naimod siya na naglalakaw didto.

Pero, diri’ nahadok an maya. Dumapo’ siya sa likod san liyon tapos nagbatog mahangit. “Nano kay dumayo ka saamo’ pugad nan naghahadok ka pa saako’ mga bata’?”

Diri’ siya tinin-o san liyon tapos nagpadagos naglakaw.

Lalo’ nahangit an maya nan lalo’ pa nagdadaldal. “Wara’ ka labot magkanhi dini. Sabi ko saimo, bay-i ka pagbalik doon kay kon diri’, may malain na mangyari saimo. Habo’ ako na himuon ini,”, sabi san maya, mintras inalsa niya an kaniya tiil, “pero balian kita san tul-ang san madali’ lang pagbalik didto.”

Tapos naglupad pabalik an tatay na maya sa kaniya salag.

“O ini mga aki’, tinukduan ko na siya san liksiyon. Diri’ na niya kamo liwat istorbohon pa.”
